About Fern Silver
Why do I do this important work? I do it because I love helping people discover the best in themselves, then choose to DO IT – BE IT – LIVE IT. This has been my passion since the age of 10 when I helped the sad kids sitting on the sidelines learn how to catch and throw a ball. With patience and reassurance, they developed self- confidence and a new JOY for playing the game.
The passion that inspired Fern at the age of 10 is the driving force behind her intention to optimize the success of managers today! During keynotes and training, Fern will help catapult your managers to a new level to connect with the skills, mindset, determination, actions, habits, and JOY that drive personal and organizational success.
Awarded the title…ANTHROPOMAXIMOLOGIST
‘You’ve been doing this for 20 years and did not even know it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!”
Who could have known that my childhood adventures, becoming a determined athlete, team player, volunteer for great causes, leader, educator, customer service star, top salesperson, recognition/ engagement specialist, keynote speaker, trainer, activator and student for life would bring me to the day when the Director of Schools and Manpower Development at New England Financial awarded me with the title of ANTHROPOMAXIMOLOGIST. After 20 years of delivering the highly acclaimed program I created that impacted the success of thousands of agents, he said, “You have been doing this for 20 years and did not even know it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” It seems the training program I developed coincided with the Science of Peak Performance known as ANTHROPOMAXIMOLOGY. The Pursuit Of Excellence was born out of a commitment to catapult their success. I literally made up this program based upon my lifetime of experiences, knowledge, and passion.
Fern’s business has always been based upon PURPOSE – being part of something bigger than I AM that makes a difference and PASSION – that emotional “stuff” that makes people perform way above and beyond ordinary performance.
Participating and becoming certified in professional training programs such as Tom Peters Leadership- Style Analysis- Advocate Selling- Ohio Safety Expert- Xerox PSS plus experience and research in Leadership- Engagement Practices -Culture Development- Internal Customer Service (the Deming model) – and the financial benefits of Effective Recognition and Communication Programs support my passion to help people be the best they can be.
A recent survey from Gallup stated that Full Engagement in America has improved from 30% to 34%. WE CAN DO BETTER!
Happy Employee = Happy Company
WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER!
“People don’t leave the company – they leave the managers.”
Herzberg gave us the proof over 60 years ago. His research confirmed that managers are our biggest reason for poor performance and dissatisfied employees. The upward downward communications miss the mark. Research continues to show that MANAGERS are the main reason for poor performance and people leaving.
Collin Ellis, the author of Culture Fix, reported that a survey of 1400 American businesses found that a whopping 92% of senior executives cited cultural challenge as a critical driver to increase their company’s values, yet only 16% said their culture is ‘exactly where it should be’.
Together we will help:
- Raise management skills and engagement to new levels.
- Train managers on how to effectively recognize employees.
- Define cultural values that drive enthusiasm and high trust.
The great secrets of personal and organizational success were revealed to me when I read ‘Think And Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill over 30 years ago. I have read it over and over and still learn something new each time I revisit the lessons (my original copy is held together with a rubber band!). These lessons still guide me as a speaker and trainer to bring value to you and your continued success. There are thousands of books that have revealed important information to us. Think And Grow Rich is the one book you must have in your library.
Andrew Carnegie, a great leader, became one of the richest men in American. He gave Hill the challenge to go out and interview 500 of his successful friends to uncover their philosophy of success and leadership. His personal secret of success applies to every business:
“Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of HARMONY, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite PURPOSE.”
Andrew Carnegies’ secret is one of the guiding principles of the work we will do together.
It was the EXPERIENCE” with Fern, how she made people feel, that impacted the success of thousands of professional agents and effective leadership practices of 400 managers at the Cook County Clerk of Courts.

We’re All on A Journey
Over the years, I have seen comments in books and business interviews with great leaders, athletes, coaches, and top professional salespeople about how their childhood impacted their lives. Every phase of our lives, everything we get to DO helps us become the best version of ourselves. Every risk, every surprise encounter (better known as accidents) everything we learn makes the journey a joy.

Big Goal
My goal has always been to create experiences for people that touched their hearts and minds. For over 40 years children’s books and true stories about children have played an important part in the “ADULT” trainings and keynotes I have created to INspire the best in us. The simple language, with deep messages and illustrations, create vital connections with our hearts and minds for new breakthroughs of what’s possible.
Dr. Seuss was one of the great authors that helped me bring things to life in our training experiences.
He engaged every child and adult with his many weird and wonderful books. His final book, ‘Oh The Places You’ll Go’ was written when he was dying of cancer.
He left us this BIG, BIG Message
And will you succeed?
Yes! You will indeed!
(98 and ¾ percent guaranteed).
KID, YOU’LL MOVE MOUNTAINS!!!!!
WE’LL MOVE MOUNTAINS TOGETHER TOO!
Together we can help teams love their company
